  • As part of introducing this system, all characters that had already been deleted before this update have been permanently removed.

Mail System

  • The Mail System is now fully functional.
  • You can now send Parcels and Letters to other players.
  • To send a Parcel or Letter, simply write the recipient's character name on the top of the label or letter.

Adjustments & Balancing

Frag System Rework

  • Simplified the Frag system by removing the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Frag limits.
  • Frags are now counted as Total Frags only.
  • The punishment limits remain unchanged:
    • 10 Frags → Red Skull
    • 20 Frags → Banishment
  • PVP-E Day remains unchanged and continues using its own separate Frag system.
  • Updated the !frags command to support the new Frag system.
  • More details:

Players Below Protection Level 150

  • Changed the PvP protection system for players below level 150.
    • Players level 150+ can attack players below level 150 without receiving a Skull, gaining Frags, or receiving PZ Lock.
    • PvP Mode must be enabled, but there is no need to disable Safe PvP or change the attack level.
    • Players below level 150 cannot attack other players.
    • They can still die normally to monsters, including inside town range.
    • If another player would kill them, they will instead be teleported back to their temple.
    • This protection applies only within the entire town area and does not apply outside town.
  • This change was introduced to prevent low-level characters from being used to interfere with or abuse the PvP system.

Target Visibility

  • Changed the visibility requirement for targeting players with spells and weapons.
    • Players can now only attack or heal another player if both characters can see each other.
    • Seeing only the player's name at the edge of the screen is no longer sufficient.
    • This mainly affects situations around the northern and southern edges of the screen where a player's name could previously be visible while their character was not.
  • No spell, weapon, or attack range has been changed or reduced.
  • The change only affects the visibility requirement of the target.

Inspect Visibility

  • Added a new Player Settings option to Allow Inspect:
    • All — Everyone can inspect you.
    • Guild — Only guild members can inspect you.
    • Party — Only party members can inspect you.
    • OFF — No one can inspect you.
  • You still can inspect yourself to check your stats always.

Damage Number Display

  • Added a new Player Settings option to change how damage numbers are displayed:
    • Normal, k, m, b
    • The option is disabled by default.
    • The selected format is also applied to the Server Log.

Behemoth Spawn

  • Added Vampires to the Behemoth hunting spawn.

Boss Loot Messages

  • Added rarity-based colors to Boss Loot messages.
  • Rare and valuable loot is now easier to identify.

Map & Spawn Updates

Hourly Bosses

  • Modified the spawn locations of all hourly bosses.
    • Bosses now spawn on a separate floor or behind walls with a door.
    • This prevents Cave Bot users in nearby hunting areas from accidentally entering boss areas and triggering an AFK Check.
    • Players using Cave Bot should update their waypoints to avoid entering these areas.
  • While an hourly boss is alive, you can check its exact spawn location using:
    • !exiva BOSSNAME

Map Fixes

  • Fixed several reported map issues.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to Browse Field on house tiles.

      • The export mainly contains configuration files.
    • Added an Import option to restore previously exported configurations.
    • This makes it significantly easier to transfer configurations between Desktop and Android clients.

    • Players will now be notified when they need to update their APK.

OxyBot Updates

    • Improved the client updater to automatically update OxyBot files without overwriting manually edited files.
    • The client will notify you when a file could not be updated because it was modified by you.
    • To restore the original version of an edited file, simply remove the edited file and allow the client to download the original version.

Client Updater

    • Improved the updater to automatically retry failed or interrupted downloads.
    • If an update fails or the connection is lost, the updater will retry automatically:
      • 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds and so on up to 60 seconds.
    • Once it reaches 60 seconds, it will continue retrying every 60 seconds until the update succeeds or is cancelled.
    • This prevents failed updates from requiring players to restart the client and begin the update process again.

Automatic Updates on Global Server Save

    • The client now checks for updates when the Character List is opened.
    • If an update is available after a server save or relog, the client will automatically download and apply it.

    • This allows players who are AFK during a server save to receive client updates automatically without being blocked from returning to the game due to an outdated client.

    • Optimized several Wings that were displayed incorrectly compared to how they appeared in-game.

  • Make sure to apply the required updates before attempting to log in after the server save.
  • The latest client version will be required to log in after the applicable server save.

Windows Defender

  • Some Windows Defender installations may incorrectly detect the updated client executable files as malware.
  • This is a false positive caused by the executable files.
  • Keeping Windows Defender and Windows fully updated can help prevent these false detections.
  • Updated client files will also be available on the website Download page with the next server save.
  • If you prefer to download a fresh client, remove data.zip from:
    • %appdata%/OxygenOT/OxygenOT IX_v4
  • Then start the client normally.

Notes

  • Some changes are live and rest will be live with next server save.
  • Make sure your client is updated to the required version before the next server save.
