As always, I want to be fully transparent with you about what’s happening on the server.
About a week ago, we held a poll regarding Combo Bot behavior, and the majority voted to make it illegal. Following the community’s decision, we introduced the new rule and also developed a detection system to help identify this behavior.
However, after testing it in real PvP situations, we discovered a major problem.
Many commonly used features can produce very similar behavior, such as Fight Back, Hold Target, attacking lower-level players through the Battle List, and several other methods. Some of these can even be used to follow or attack the same target without using a BotServer or traditional Combo Bot at all.
Yesterday, we also received an insane number of reports — players reporting each other, guilds reporting rival guilds, and almost everyone claiming they were not using Combo Bot. At the same time, our detection system was producing too many false positives, which means we cannot confidently punish players based on it.
Because of this, we have decided to remove the Combo Bot rule.
It would not be fair to keep something illegal when some players may still achieve almost the same behavior through other methods that we cannot reliably detect or prove. We would rather remove the rule than risk unfairly punishing players.
That said, my advice remains the same:
You’re playing a game to have fun and enjoy PvP. Relying completely on automated targeting and combo systems turns PvP into something robotic and removes much of the skill and excitement from it.
PvP-E is only one day out of the entire week, so make the most of it. Fight, have fun, show your skills, and make it a great PvP day for everyone.
