How damage works, PvP reduction tiers, stat caps, leech & critical hits
The damage of players depends on 3 things:
It is used mainly for healing (Health / Mana).
It affects health healing, not mana healing. So if you are using a spell or rune to heal your health, the healing will be stronger.
Player vs player damage is reduced based on levels — this serves as a damage balance system.
It works on the target's damage reduction.
Example: If you have 20% damage penetration and your target has 30% damage reduction, you remove 20% of their reduction — their new damage reduction = 10% — with every hit.


Many players think a critical hit is always 2× damage — this is not correct. Critical hit damage is not fixed at 100% and can be increased beyond that, meaning your crits can hit much harder.
Right-click on your character or another player and select Inspect.
